Nowra Rappers 4/5 D
The moxing batch of the century

In one corner we have Itsy Bitsy Spider and in the other corner we have Fire Fly, the light weight champion from the last Bolympics.

The trainers polished up the gloves - all 14 of them and they are ready to spart. Fly comes out of his corner firing on all six cylinders and does a quick jab and cross, knocking one of the spider's legs off - we are now down to 13 gloves. Uh oh unlucky number.

Spider comes back with a ping and crunch, sends fly onto the mat. Spider's time to try out his secret "weabon" - web and munch. The fly is trapped! A perfect lunch for the new lightweight champion - gloves and all.

He raises his 7 pegs in victory and the crowd goes child!!!!!

But wait - the spider feels a jumble in his tummy! He leans over! He burps and out flies Fire Fly. "I'm ready for a re-catch."

Watch this space for the next round.

SPORT
With special reporter- Elephant Dung of 5K

GAME - Soccer
TIME - 12:00 pm Night time!
SCORE - Cheetahs 0 vs Ducks 1
PLACE - Silly Chilly
WEATHER - Snowing and blowing

And it’s a thrilling game of soccer here at Silly Chilly. What’s this? The Cheetahs are eating on the job. Now we have only 6 ducks left!

And it’s coming down to the Ducks. They’re running and they’re passing the ball. NO!!!!!!!!

At the other end of the field, the Cheetahs have eaten FIVE ducks. It’s now down to the one last remaining duck.

He snaps. He quacks. And he scores!

Wow, quack, snap, the crowd roars.

As the Cheetah sneaks up on the victor and, gulp, gobbles him up as a post-game snack. Oh well, that is the end of the Ducks team.

Page 27: We bring you the news as it’s shopping.

We bring you the news as it hoppins!

4T Chomps versus the ARL coaches

Every Tuesday Nat and Trent, who are two ARL coaches from the Mighty Dragons, came to our school to train our class on the back oval. We were splat into 2 groups and then we swapped activities at half time.

Nat's group practised passing, grubber sticks and scoring pies. Trent's group played bull kicking, bull-rush and Star Wars. Don't ask us why it was called Star Wars - we don't really know either!

The final score was that 4T won by 50 points. I think we mashed those two potatoes!

An unordinary mythical game of Notball
Reporters: Dragon Breath

On Saturday night the game was played at the Hogcawts Notball arena. No stourt lights were needed because the Pegasus Unicorns had their own (on their horns). The opposing team were The Griffens (for those who don't know they are half eagle, half lion).

The Pegasus team had no trouble carrying the ball to the goal end with the ball stuck on their horns. S(p)oon they had spored 7 goals with 12 notballs replaced because they were popped. The Griffens were not seen flapping their wings after each goal. Shame, not good sports!!

The Pegasus team were so discus-tarded that they switched off their lights and went home.

Great game by the Pegasus team. We can't wait until the rematch.

Well done Normorappers and The Fullysickids from Blaxcell Street Public School. The sports reports about Michael P. Helps (very p[f]unny) and Matthew Mitcham are well structured and informative. Thank you.

The Blaxcell Street Public School athletics carnival must have been an exciting day. After reading your article, I almost felt that I was present. Interviewing the school principal is a great idea and an effective piece of journalism.

Great effort! :)

Athletics Carnival: Big Hit!
By The Fullysickids

On the 7th of August, the day before the Olympic Games, Blaxcell Street Public School held their Athletics Carnival at Homebush Warm-Up Arena.

The events were the 100m sprint, 200m and 800m running races. There was also shot put, high jump and long jump. K-2 participated in novelty events like the lolly and spoon race, sack race, thong toss, dances and the 100m sprint.

Classes 3H and 3M thought it was an exciting day because they participated in lots of different events. Their favourite event of the day was the high jump because they got to jump over the bar and land of the big spongy mat. It was hectic!

“We were very lucky with the weather as it was such a beautiful day. Also it was the best student participation at any athletics carnival that Blaxcell Street has ever had,” said Mrs Bradley, school principal. “It was just a shame that nobody was there to see me win the teachers' race.” Mrs Bradley was the only teacher in that race.

The athletics carnival was a great chance for everyone at Blaxcell Street Public School to get fit and have fun. Congratulations to everyone who competed and tried their best and especially to the winning house group Mulgara.

Cool in the Pool
by Gus M & Matt P

In the first week of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games history was made by Michael P. Helps winning eight gold medals in the pool.

It was an outstanding performance, but there was much controversy on his seventh attempt, winning gold by three hundredths of a second. Many disagreed with this result saying he won silver, but they were proved wrong by Beijing’s technology.

Helps also smashed five world records and one hundred years of Olympic history — his performance was simply stunning!

Millions of people around the world watched Helps do his thing in the pool.

Mitcham Strives for Gold!
By Bethany R and Emma L

On Saturday 23rd August 2008, Australian diver, Matthew Mitcham competed in the men’s final for the 10m platform diving at the Beijing Olympic Games.

At only twenty, Mitcham did extremely well to win Aussie gold at his first Olympic Games. Mitcham also broke an eighty year old record for the highest score ever scored for a dive.

At the end of the third round Mitcham was coming in fourth place behind the two Chinese divers and Australian diver Matthew Helm. Then in the fourth round Matthew Mitcham gave the judges a great surprise and gained himself second place. In the fifth round he stayed in second place and in the last round he surprisingly gained first and won Aussie gold.

Fellow Australian Matthew Helm finished sixth with a score of 467.10 and Mitcham’s score was 537.95.

All Australians are extremely proud of Mitcham and as many say “Well done Mitcham, keep up the good work!”

Hi Bloggers,
We selected three of our reports and one advertisement for you.

JELLY OUT OF BELLY!!!!
by Jerrie Jellybeans
/Re/Sport
Last night famous diver I.A.M. Fat vomited after attempting a 6 1/2 back flip at a difficulty of 9.7. He was so worried that he vomited 10 tonnes of jelly. It quickly froze without him noticing. He dives........ BANG! OUCH!!!

I.A.M. Fat is now suffering from 299 broken bones out of 300!!! I.A.M. Fat has now announced his retirement, not because of his injury, he's just too lazy.

BULL CREAM
Are you a bull, who has a rusty nose ring? Then you need bull cream. Rub it on and the rust comes off!

Report (Sport)
The Duel in the Pool
by Silly Names
The two famous swimmers I.M. Speedy and U.R. Slow were in lanes 4 and 5. They both did an unusual belly flop into the pool and started swimming. They were coming dead last until U. Win slowed down because his googles fell off. There were now five people in front of them.

Suddenly I. Lose slowed down because his leg fell off. Just after that Icant Swim slowed down because he swam into the lane rope and broke his arm. A split second later I.M. Slow drowned after someone threw a ball from the crowd. The three other swimmers heard the groan from the crowd and looked up at the screen, but I.M. Speedy and U.R. Slow kept on swimming.

There were only ten metres left and it was a tie for first and no-one else finished the race. At the end of the day , it was a sad day for the lifeguards.

The Goats Versus the Pelicans!!
The Game that Changed our Lives!
From I.C. Zeball
As the Pelicans and Goats ran up and down the court bouncing the ball, the competitive Goats used their milk for energy. The Pelicans were far behind on the scoreboard. The Goats were spilling milk on the court everywhere by this time and tomatoes were splattered in their faces by the audience! The audience and the Pelicans laughed. Hen farms were disturbing the stadium as they were just aound the corner.

Nothing was going to stop the Goat's best player Iam Better. He went for a perfect shot. YES!!!! The cheerleaders started shaking their pompoms and their pyramid was dreadful, but who cares, they scored. The camel in the audience was so happy that his humps burst and he now looks like a horse!

The Pelicans were so upset, but know they will win next time against the fish! No they are not going to shake hands at the end of the game. Mainly because they don't have any! That's the end of this week's sport that changed our lives!!!!!
